Topic Description:

Through immersion in the historically rich Southern Spanish culture of Andalucia, this course offers the opportunity to improve language proficiency and obtain a better understanding of the diverse cultures that have lived in Spain. From our base in Córdoba, we will learn the peculiarities of the Spanish spoken in Andalucia, its history and the cultural impact that this dialect had on the Spanish spoken in the Americas. The course includes visits to the neighboring cities of Seville and Granada and participation in Cordoba’s most important festivals and events, such as the annual feria, city garden’s tour; Andalucian horses show; flamenco lessons, etc.
