Spanish Language Immersion Camp is the next best thing to traveling abroad. There is much we can do to improve Spanish language proficiency on campus by taking advantage of opportunities that are close at hand. Es verdad que hay many sources of Spanish language input available to us in the community and a multitude of them on-line. We will learn and practice the techniques that polyglots use to achieve proficiency and examine the realities of language acquisition. There will be local field trips to explore the Latinx community and their food traditions. You will be expected to speak Spanish exclusively as we practice all skills areas: speaking, listening, reading, writing, and culture. If you want to speak Spanish with more confidence, this is the IL for you.
