In this course we will read, discuss and work together on the critical interpretation of Communism and its impact on the societies of the Central European countries. We will focus on the situation in these countries 20 years after the collapse of communism, examining the changes on the social, political, and economic levels. We will also notice the struggle for renewal of the Christian churches and the role they have played in the rebuilding of the society.
