Where do we come from? This seemingly simple question has spurred the development of an entire field of science, anthropology. In this course, we will examine human origins through the lens of evolution, beginning with our primate cousins and fossil ancestors and ending with the worldwide distribution of humans today. Along the way, we will explore how biological anthropologists use evidence from fossils, artifacts, geology, primate behavior, and genetics to piece together the human story.
